Founded in 2015, Thea House Church is led by Rev. M. Kate Allen. We are a small community devoted to the Divine Feminine, whom we call Thea. Our liturgy, whose primary scripture is the Thean Psalter, embraces silence and breath, movement and sound, scent and taste, sight and touch as media for encountering the Divine. Our liturgical action is rooted in that of our Judeo-Christian siblings, but our thealogy and prayer are firmly feminine and feminist. While we tend to steer away from dogmatism in an effort to honor the many paths that lead to the one we call Thea, we wholeheartedly embrace the belief that in the midst of creative action, we touch, reveal, and magnify Thea.
We open our liturgies to all open-hearted pilgrims once a quarter. Our next gathering will take place March 8, 2020. Please contact Kate for directions.
